The Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) is a non-profit NCI-designated Cancer Center cancer research and treatment center located at the South Texas Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

CTRC Serves more than 4.4 million people in the high-growth corridor of Central and South Texas including Austin, San Antonio, Laredo, and the Rio Grande Valley, handling over 120,000 patient visits each year. The CTRC Institute for Drug Development (IDD) conducts the largest oncology Phase I clinical drug trials program in the world. Fifteen of the cancer drugs most recently approved by the Food & Drug Administration underwent development or testing at the IDD. CTRC, through its collaborative research and education partnership with The UT Health Science Center also operates the San Antonio Cancer Institute.

The CTRC was founded in 1974 in San Antonio, Texas as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and freestanding outpatient clinic providing radiation therapy.
